what about the rest?

senior photos, weddings, and more

storytelling comes first

I don't just shoot whatever. It's got to tell a story.

Not every photographer is the right photographer for every job. I've built my work around the moments that matter most to people: the ones that are lived-in, emotionally real, and worth remembering long after the day is over. That means I'm intentional about what I take on. I'd rather do a few things exceptionally well than everything adequately.

If what you're looking for isn't on this list, I'm probably not your person — and I'll always tell you that honestly. But if it is? I'll show up for it completely.

Here's what I do shoot:

Families — in all their beautiful, chaotic, perfectly imperfect reality.

Newborns — the most precious season, documented with care before it slips away.

Playful Portraits — real people, real light, real moments. No stiff poses, no fake smiles.

Events — the energy, the aliveness, the faces of people fully showing up as themselves.

PLAYFUL PORTRAITS

Playful portraits are for anyone who's ever thought I'm not really a photo person.

No stiff poses, no "okay everyone say cheese," no looking at the camera like you're renewing your driver's license. Just you, good light, and a photographer who's more interested in who you actually are than what you think you're supposed to look like.

Whether it's a solo session, a couple’s shoot, or something in between, I bring the same documentary eye that I bring to everything — loose, curious, and ready to find the frame that actually feels like you.

A playful portrait session is perfect for:

  • Headshots for a creative professional

  • Unconventional senior portraits

  • Engagement photos with a twist

  • A way to mark the passage of time

Will you shoot my wedding or senior portraits?

The short answer: probably not. And that’s no offense to you!

Senior portraits are simply not my specialty, and you deserve someone whose whole heart is in it. I'd rather point you toward a photographer who lights up for that work than show up as anything less than fully invested.

Weddings are a little more nuanced. I take on very few each year, and I'm selective about the ones I say yes to. And that’s not because I'm difficult, but because I believe your wedding day deserves a photographer who's genuinely excited about the specific story you're telling. Cookie-cutter timelines and traditional posed portraits aren't really my thing. But if you've got something with a little more soul to it – something unconventional, deeply personal, a little outside the box – that's when my ears perk up.

If you think what you have is something special, I'd love to hear about it. Reach out below and tell me your story. The worst I can say is that I'm not the right fit. And if that's the case, I'll do my best to point you toward someone who is.

I get this question a lot…
